The 8-inch Remo PS-0308-00 is part of the famous Remo Pinstripe series, and it consists of two plies of Mylar. Pinstripe heads are instantly recognisable, thanks to the Pinstripe ring, and they're a great choice for drummers who need a big sound for pop, rock or R&B music, for instance. You can count on relatively low-pitched tones, quick decay and a medium attack and response. It even muffles high overtones for a warmer sound.

Een klassieker, de Remo Pinstripe. Dit dubbellaagsvel klinkt vooral 'vet' en is dan ook erg geschikt voor (heavy)rock en dergelijke muziek. Vel gaat lang mee en kan zonder problemen laag gestemd worden. Er zit een stevige attack in. Als je een lange toon wilt moet je een ander vel kiezen (Remo Emperor bijvoorbeeld).

Meer attack, minder warm dan de coated (ruw witte) versie. Geschikt voorlage stemmingen. Erg duurzaam. Ideaal voor live. In de studio zou ik kiezen voor coated vellen.
